NEWS: The craftsmanship is at the heart of development

During his visit Saturday Sotouboua the head of state presented to 1290 young artisans from all regions of the country of tool kits.

A total of 5,000 young people have benefited since 2011, such benefits through the project to support the professional integration of young artisans (PAIPJA *) with a budget of 2 billion CFA francs.

Each beneficiary undertakes to repay the third of the value of the kit. It can further benefit from micro-credit of up to 1 million CFA francs.

'This device should facilitate the integration of young unemployed graduates learning centers and vocational training in the labor market through the development of entrepreneurship and the strengthening of production capacity, "explains Victory Dogbé-Tomegah The Minister of Development at the base, Crafts and Youth employment.

 The PAIPJA is only one element of the strategy deployed by the government in favor of youth employment. Volunteerism, support for the poor suburbs are others.

Finally, we must point out the very recent launch of the National Financial Inclusion Fund (FNFI) of a specific product, AJSEF (Youth Access to economic and financial services). This is a loan that can finance a first business.

* The PAIPJA aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial and material capacities of 5,000 young craftsmen from 2011 to 2015 to improve their employability in the fight against unemployment and underemployment of young people. Specifically, the project aims to:

• Train annually 1,000 young degree holders in various trades crafts micro enterprise creation and management techniques and cooperative entrepreneurship.

• Support the installation of 1,000 young people trained by toolkits needed to start their business.
