Three opposition parties have called on Tuesday to vote for Faure Gnassingbe (UNITE) on 25 April. This is PPC (Pan-African Patriotic Convention), RDP (Party for Democracy and Renewal) and the NDP (New People's Dynamic).
Francis Ekon who headed the 'New Look', an alliance of the three formations explains this choice: the incumbent president has worked in favor of a united Togo he strongly rooted in the struggle for democracy, respect for human rights, the practice of free, fair and transparent development policy.
In short, says Ekon 'Faure Gnassingbe has the right profile to lead the destiny of the country in the next 5 years.'
'Our parties are again at a crossroads. It is for us to choose between a somersault or a healthy start. In good conscience, gauging the weight of possible dangers, we must, once again, to show the way (...), "adds the President of the CPC.
