The presidential election April 25, 2015 took place in a calm, confirming the commitment of the Togolese people to democracy, said a statement issued Monday by the spokesman of the European Service for EU external action.
The European Union calls on all actors to continue to work so that the electoral process continues in calm and transparency, the statement said.
'It is important that all actors comply with election results, as an expression of the will of voters. Any dispute regarding the results should be resolved peacefully through the appropriate legal channels', says the EU.
