During his final televised speech Friday night, Faure Gnassingbé (UNITE) welcomed the climate of peace that prevailed during the election campaign and wished the same atmosphere to continue until the end of the process.This will seal permanently anchoring of Togo in the era of peaceful elections and spend the political maturity of our nation.
Gnassingbe recalled the progress made by Togo in recent years found peace and stability, consolidated national reconciliation but also economic recovery.
'These achievements we impose the obligation to continue our march forward to more progress,' he said.

'I would (...) reiterate again that in the coming years, health issues, education, access to clean water, youth employment, rural electrification and access for all micro-credit will be my priority every day ', Gnassingbe said.
The candidate's line of force is clear: Togo a more welcoming and fraternal, where every citizen receives for the best efforts of the state, in peace and security.
'The victory I expect from you is the great victory. That is to say, the people of Togo. I expect from you a victory that will open wider the path of progress so that all Togolese are the lucky recipients' said Mr. Gnassingbé.
