President Faure Gnassingbe Sunday rekindled the flame of independence on the eve of the celebration of the 55th anniversary of independence of Togo.
He was flanked by Prime Minister Arthème Ahoomey-Zunu Gilchrist Olympio, leader of the Union of Forces for Change (UFC opposition) and son of the first president of Togo and Dama Dramani, President of the National Assembly .
On Monday, a parade will take place Place celebrations to mark the event.
