Robert Dussey, the Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Robert Whitehead, the Ambassador of the United States will sign Monday in Lome Agreement 'open skies' between the two countries on air transport.
It provides a fully open transatlantic routes to the Togolese and US airlines: since its entry into force, all US companies will serve the Togo from any city and vice versa.
Transatlantic flights US-Togo were governed until now by restrictive bilateral agreement.
No carrier US only serves Togo, for the moment, but the signing of the agreement could encourage the opening lines especially as Lome airport is a hub to the main African capitals with the presence of Asky company.
