As in every election in Africa, the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) sends in evaluation before the ballot is conducted missions. Togo in hosts since Tuesday.
Led by a Malian General Siaka Sangare, its members met this morning with representatives of political opposition parties (ANC, CAR, OBUTS, ADDI ...) before meeting later with those of the majority.
The envoys of the OIF also listen to the voice actors of civil society.
Later in the week, Siaka Sangare, will be received by the Prime Minister and President Faure Gnassingbe.
Nothing filtered exchanges but opponents have said they asked the organization to influence with the authorities to obtain constitutional and institutional reforms before the election.
A perspective difficult to envisage at 2 months of the presidential election.
